How to take
Women who are planning pregnancy, pregnant or nursing take 2 capsules daily with food, or as directed by a qualified healthcare professional.. Consistency matters more than timing — pick a moment you'll remember daily.

WARNING: Accidental overdose of iron-containing products is a leading cause of fatal poisoning in children under 6. Keep this product out of reach of children. In case of accidental overdose, call a doctor or poison control center immediately. Consult a qualified prenatal healthcare professional before use, particularly if you are taking medication, have a medical condition, have elevated iron levels or have an iron-storage disorder. Vitamin K can interact with anticoagulant medications. Iron can interact with thyroid medication, certain antibiotics, antacids, calcium supplements, coffee, tea and dairy products. This product does not replace a balanced diet or individualized prenatal medical care.

What it supports

+
Folate in the form your body uses
600 mcg of L-5-methyltetrahydrofolate rather than folic acid — the form that needs no conversion, which matters for the substantial share of people who convert folic acid poorly.
+
For the brain and spinal cord forming now
Folate supports normal fetal brain and spinal cord development, which is why adequate intake matters from before conception onward.
+
Iron that doesn't fight back
27 mg of elemental iron as Ferrochel® chelate — the form generally easier to tolerate, which matters when the stomach is already unpredictable.
+
Red blood cells and the oxygen they carry
Iron, folate and B12 support healthy red blood cell formation, normal haemoglobin production and the oxygen transport that depends on both.
+
Choline, and enough of it
150 mg supporting normal fetal brain development, cellular membranes and neurotransmitter production. Many prenatals leave choline out altogether.
+
Healthy cell division
Folate, B12 and zinc support the normal cell division that underpins development through every stage.
+
Energy through the tired months
Thiamin, riboflavin, niacin, B6, B12 and pantothenic acid support normal maternal energy metabolism and nervous-system function.
+
Bone and muscle, yours
Vitamin D3 with K2 as MK-7, magnesium and boron supporting maternal bone and muscle health while demand is higher.
+
Immune and antioxidant cover
Vitamin C, vitamin E, zinc, selenium and beta-carotene supporting immune function and the body's antioxidant defences.
+
No preformed retinol, deliberately
Vitamin A is supplied as beta-carotene only. The body converts what it needs rather than accumulating preformed retinol, which is the safer route in pregnancy.

Inside the formula

Active L-5-MTHF folate 600 mcg + Ferrochel® ferrous bisglycinate chelate iron 27 mg + choline bitartrate 150 mg + cholecalciferol D3 with K2Quest® MK-7, in bioavailable forms throughout

A prenatal is judged on a handful of decisions. Folate as L-5-methyltetrahydrofolate rather than folic acid, because that is the form the body uses directly. Iron as Ferrochel® ferrous bisglycinate chelate at 27 mg, bound between two glycine molecules, which is why chelated iron is generally easier to tolerate at a time when the stomach is already unpredictable. Choline at 150 mg, an amount many prenatals leave out entirely. And vitamin A as beta-carotene only, with no preformed retinol — the body converts beta-carotene as needed rather than accumulating it. Two capsules, taken with food.*

Frequently asked
questions

How do I know what's on the label is in the bottle?
Trust should be verifiable. Every batch we produce is tested by an independent laboratory, and the certificate of analysis for your exact lot is published on this page — potency, heavy metals, microbials. Testing begins the moment a raw material arrives, continues through production, and no batch is released until every result clears. The label is a claim. The COA is the proof.
How do you choose your ingredients and doses?
We formulate from peer-reviewed clinical research and dose to match it. We select the highest-grade material available for each ingredient, in the form the body absorbs best, and where a patented or branded form is the one that has actually been studied, that is the one we use. Every active appears at its exact amount, with no proprietary blends and nothing added that doesn't need to be there.
Where are CoreLabs supplements made?
In our own cGMP-certified facility in California's Central Valley. Manufacturing in-house means quality is our responsibility at every step rather than a supplier's promise. Raw materials are purchased through established US suppliers who import and qualify them, and every material is tested against our own specification before it enters production — wherever it originated.
Why are CoreLabs supplements more expensive?
Because of what goes in. We buy the highest grade of each raw material, in the most absorbable form, and we work with the branded and patented ingredient houses whose material the clinical research was actually run on — names like Lonza, Albion, RIBUS, Sabinsa and Indena. Wherever possible those materials are made domestically. Our capsules are titanium-dioxide free. Then it is made in our own facility and third-party tested batch by batch. Every one of those choices costs more than the alternative, and the price reflects it. Anyone can claim quality — we publish ours.
Why is there no iodine in it?
Because this formula does not contain it, and you should know that before you buy. Iodine is not in our current raw-material formula. ACOG and the American Academy of Pediatrics recommend 150 mcg of iodine daily in pregnancy, and it matters for fetal neurological development, so this is a real gap rather than a design choice. Take it to your midwife or obstetrician and ask whether you need a separate iodine source. We would rather tell you plainly than let you find out later.
Is there DHA in this?
No. DHA is an oil and this is a dry-powder capsule blend, so it is not in the formula. Most people take DHA as a separate prenatal omega-3, and that is what we would suggest — again, worth raising with your clinician.
Why beta-carotene instead of vitamin A?
Because preformed retinol accumulates and high intakes are not considered safe in pregnancy, whereas the body converts beta-carotene only as it needs it. It is one of the few places where a formulation choice is straightforwardly the safer one, so we made it.
When should I take it?
Two capsules daily with food. If nausea makes a particular time of day difficult, take it whenever food stays down — consistency matters more than the hour. Keep it away from coffee, tea, dairy, calcium supplements and antacids, which all reduce iron absorption.
Can I take this before I'm pregnant, or while nursing?
Yes — it is formulated for planning, pregnancy and nursing alike. Folate status in particular matters from before conception, since neural tube development happens very early, often before a pregnancy is confirmed.
Does this replace seeing a midwife or doctor?
No, and nothing on this page should be read that way. A prenatal supplement is one part of prenatal care. Your clinician knows your bloodwork, your history and your risks; we know what is in the capsule. Both matter, and only one of them can advise you.
