Berbevis® is Indena's patented berberine phytosome — berberine complexed with sunflower phospholipids to solve berberine's biggest weakness.

The absorption problem

Ordinary berberine is very poorly absorbed — most of a standard dose never reaches circulation, which is why generic products require large doses that often cause GI discomfort. The phytosome wrap shields berberine through digestion and has been shown to deliver roughly up to 10× the bioavailability of standard berberine in human studies, at a fraction of the dose.*
